Hesham Shafie
President and CEO
Hesham is a highly accomplished business entrepreneur with broad operating, financial, marketing and general management experience. A Certified Management Accountant with over twenty years of diversified experience with highly visible results in the service, technology, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
As CEO and a founding partner in Brand Momentum, Hesham brings vast knowledge and a wealth of experience to the company and our clients. His vision of doing things better, smarter and more efficiently is another of our founding principles. His goal is to form real, meaningful partnerships while working towards surpassing desired goals.
Hesham’s work ethic and integrity helped him lead successful businesses for leading orgnizations of all sizes and at all stages in their lifecycle. Prior to launching Brand Momentum, Hesham was the President of Global Dynamic Sourcing wherein he used his skills to help companies restructure and reinvent themselves to achive breakthrough performance. Hesham was also an executive and shareholder at Consumer Impact Marketing for 14 years.
Hesham exemplifies community service and has demonstrated a long history of public involvement at both the volunteer and executive level. He has an extensive portfolio of leadership and public service commitments including being a past Director at the Distress Center of Peel and is an active volunteer with Skills for Change, a non-profit organization.
Hesham understands business! His experience allows Brand Momentum to operate with a high degree of efficiency and absolute integrity while maintaining low overhead. Through this approach, our clients experience better service while optimizing their investments.
Howard Craig
Chairman
Howard began his career with Procter and Gamble and then moved on to become the Vice President of S&MG (now Mosaic Group). Howard then created and co-founded Consumer Impact Marketing (CIM) and Launch Brand Marketing and built them into the most successful organizations of their types in Canada at the time. After successfully selling both companies he undertook consulting opportunities with such companies as Lindt & Sprungli and Traffik Group while maintaining interest in a Real Estate and a Financial Services company
Howard has pioneered the outsourced Sales and Marketing services in the Canadian market place. His advice and guidance is called upon by sales, marketing and brand executives across North America to help them unlock their fullest potential.
Howard guides Brand Momentum through his belief that "when we treat our people with respect and deliver on our promises to clients then the business will flourish and grow.” Howard knows that people are more dedicated, work smarter and are more motivated when they are having fun. Craig Belcher
Craig’s pedigree is built on the platform of strong team development, empowerment, involvement, mentoring, coaching and leading people to reach their potential and often their dreams.
At Brand Momentum Craig is responsible for the implementation and design of the client service and business development teams, tools and processes as well as the go-to-market sales strategy for the company.
Craig was previously with CIM for almost 6 years where he led the design, implementation and management of the Business Development Team for 4 years as VP Business Development, securing multiple long term contracts across varied business verticals. He also managed the Experiential Marketing business for almost 2 years. As leader of that business he oversaw the strategic management and growth of all clients while leading the culture and development of the overall business.
Prior to CIM Craig was the Vice President of Client Services and Business Development at News Marketing Canada, where he managed and developed a myriad of clients across multiple verticals. In this position, he managed the development, implementation and growth strategy of the Sales & Merchandising Division and the integration of the corporate product selling strategy. He also held positions as Vice President, Dedicated Client Management Services and Sales Director with the company.
Before that Craig spent 10 years with Gilbey Canada (Now Diageo) in 7 different roles and pioneered the private market in Alberta which included the development and implementation of the first Retail KAM model, merchandising augmentation, trade and customer marketing.

Mark Fox
Chief Technology Officer
Mark brings over 18 years of technology, marketing and business management experience to Brand Momentum. He has a successful history of building and leading large technical and operations teams to deliver great results for Fortune 500 companies. Mark led various technical teams at CIM for almost eight years and introduced innovative technologies such as client portals, employee collaboration systems and real-time reporting for leading North American clients. He has also spent several years working for the Canadian Medical Association where he developed solutions to help improve healthcare through the use of technology.
Mark is also a software developer and data management expert. Mark holds several technical certifications and is a certified trainer for Microsoft and has an educational background in technology and international business. Through closely working with Microsoft, Mark has been able to establish Brand Momentum as a Gold Certified Partner with Microsoft.
Mark has a true passion for people and technology. His goal is to make technology work for businesses in ways that are simple yet effective. Brand Momentum is proud of the world-class technological infrastructure that Mark has implemented. We are able to take complex client scenarios and translate them into simple to understand business knowledge. Mark believes that technology should be an enabler and that, if used effectively, can greatly improve our lives and our businesses.

Steve Brown
VP Client Services
Steve Brown has more than 25 years senior experience in consumer packaged goods. Strategic planning, meticulous execution and deep retail knowledge are his core skills, but what most people quickly realize is that Steve’s genuine caring and integrity are what set him apart. Clients immediately sense that Steve understands their business and will drive it forward. But what’s more, they know he is someone they can trust to consistently go beyond their expectations every day, in every way.
Steve had a long and successful career with the Wrigley Company with his last two roles being Global Program Director, CRM based in Chicago and as VP of Sales for Canada. His key accomplishments were year-over-year revenue growth, leading the development of an innovative “go-to-market” strategy and leading a global project that transformed the way the company analyzed and managed its commercial businesses.
After Wrigley, Steve spent two years with the former Wings & Ink (now SPAR Group) as Senior Client Director, managing tier one clients and leading both creative and account teams. Now, with Brand Momentum, Steve has truly found his niche. As VP Client Services, he is building powerful, lasting client partnerships from the ground up. He applies his Listen, Think and Lead credo to its fullest. Listen to the client’s need . . .Think creatively to devise solutions that are unique and effective. . .and Lead the implementation of these solutions by motivating teams to shine in every situation – and of course – to have fun along the way!
Steve was a competitive swimmer, competing in Olympic trials in his youth. Today he still enjoys swimming for fitness and is passionate about golf. Steve is also a Founding Director of the Wellspring Halton Centre in Oakville, a care facility for those needing cancer support programs and services.
Roman Konopud
Managing Director of Retail Services
Roman brings over 30 years of CPG experience to Brand Momentum. He is a decisive, results oriented leader with a track record of exceeding customer’s expectations and driving sales and profitability.
Roman has held leading roles at companies such as Kellogg Canada, Nabisco, Clouston Foods, Merkel, Konopud & Quinn Sales (MKQ) and Thomas, Large & Singer. As a shareholder and Executive Vice President at TL&S, Roman was instrumental in integrating the two companies and establishing a common platform which led to increasing overall efficiency and performance. Acosta Sales & Marketing acquired the retail and foodservice assets of TL&S and Roman was appointed EVP & General Manager, responsible for the day to day operations in Ontario and the National Business Teams. Under his leadership, the entire sales organization was re-engineered into vertically aligned business units by channel and by customer to focus on delivering services in the most effective, efficient and economical manner possible.
As Managing Director of Retail Services, Roman is responsible for the continued growth and development of Brand Momentum’s Retailer Business Unit. Channels of focus include: Grocery, Mass, Drug, Convenience & Gas, Home Improvement, Electronics and Financials.
In his spare time, he likes to play the drums, ride his motorcycle and play hockey.
Marlo Martin
Director
18+ years of Retail, CPG, sales and marketing experience - a career rich in a vast variety of sales and marketing activities. Consistently exhibits the ability to learn quickly, recognized for her high energy, enthusiasm, commitment to excellence and “can do” attitude.
Marlo has the willingness to do exactly the right thing for her clients, forming strong, ethical, and honest business relationships that last for years. Tenacity, commitment and passion for the business have been the driving forces in her career.
Marlo is a creative problem solver and strategic thinker with a strong work ethic. Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Prior to joining Brand Momentum Marlo was the Senior Director, Experiential Marketing for Loblaw Companies. While at Loblaw Marlo created a new department responsible for the in-store customer shopping experience, which included, but not limited to; the National in-store demo program, at-shelf media program and coupon zone, and National Vendor Promotions.
